Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
Pick a theme, pick what you want it printed on, then add your pet's photo and name right on the product page. We build the artwork from your photo and email you a proof. Nothing is printed until you approve it — unless you tick “skip the proof” on the product page, for when you need it in a hurry.
When do I see the artwork?
We email you a proof within 2–3 business days of your order, from orders@hallofpaws.com. Nothing goes to print before that. If it isn't right, tell us what to change and we'll put it right — you're never stuck with a piece you didn't approve.
If you don't see it, check your junk or spam folder — and adding that address to your contacts makes sure it reaches you.
What kind of photo do you need?
One clear, well-lit, front-on shot of their face. Phone photos are fine, including HEIC straight off an iPhone. Screenshots work too — we ignore any phone interface, timestamps or filters baked into the picture.
We work from the face, so that's the part that needs to be sharp. A photo where they're looking at the camera beats a more flattering one where they aren't.
Do you do cats?
Yes. Every theme works for cats as well as dogs.
Will it actually look like my pet?
That's the whole point. We match their real coat colour and length, markings, ear set and eye colour — and their expression, including the goofy one. We never make a pet look more composed than the photo you chose, because you chose that photo for a reason.
Can you put more than one pet in a piece?
Mention it in the notes when you order and we'll come back to you before anything is made.
What if my pet has something specific I want kept?
Use the notes field — "she has a notch in her right ear", "please keep his red collar", "his eyes are two different colours". That's exactly what it's for, and it's read by a person before the artwork is made.
What can I get it printed on?
Tees and crewneck sweatshirts, coasters, ceramic mugs, desk mats, velveteen and sherpa blankets, metal prints, gallery-wrapped canvas and framed canvas. Prices start at $29.95.
Where is it made and how is it shipped?
Everything is made to order in the USA. Orders of $49 or more ship free within the US, counted after any discount. If your order has more than one item, they can come from different workshops and arrive in separate packages, each with its own tracking email. Below $49, shipping is calculated at checkout based on what you bought and where it's going.
Can I change something after I've ordered?
Yes, as long as it hasn't gone to print. Since we wait for your approval on the proof, there's normally plenty of time — just reply to the proof email.
I need it fast — can I skip the proof?
Yes. Tick “skip the proof” on the product page and we print as soon as the artwork is ready, without waiting for your reply. You won’t see it first, so we check it against your photo ourselves — and if it isn’t right, we remake it once, free.
